Call for Abstracts

Submit your abstract and contribute to TIAFT 2025.

The 62nd Annual Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists taking place in Auckland, 23-27 November 2025, invites you to submit abstracts for Oral Presentations, Poster Presentations, and Rapid Fire Presentations. 

All abstracts must follow the instructions listed below and be submitted online by 5:00PM (NZDT), Wednesday 30 April 2025. Please note that the closing date for abstract submission will not be extended.

Presentation Types

Oral Presentation

All oral presentations will be grouped into sessions throughout the Meeting. Further specifications about Oral Presentations will be sent to successful authors after the results date.

Poster Presentation

Poster presentations will be on display throughout the Meeting. Further specifications about poster presentations will be sent to successful authors after the results date.

Rapid Fire Presentations

Each rapid fire presentation will be 4 minutes long, followed by 1 minute for questions and answers. Further specifications about rapid fire sessions will be sent to successful authors after the result date.

Key Dates

Terms & Conditions

  • Abstracts must be submitted in the required format with the below headings: Background/introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion. 
  • All abstracts must be maximum 350 words
  • Abstract titles must be maximum 25 words
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English language
  • Abstracts can contain scientific symbols
  • The use of abbreviations and acronyms should be kept to a minimum. Abbreviations must be spelled out on first use
  • All authors must approve of submitting their work for presentation
  • At least one author needs to be available to present if selected and will be required to have a paid registration
  • Only abstracts submitted via the abstract submission portal (linked above) will be considered
  • All abstracts must be submitted by 5:00PM (NZDT), Wednesday 30 April 2025 to be considered
